Celtic will begin their defence of the Scottish Cup against Highland League outfit Buckie Thistle. The Morayshire club beat Broxburn on penalties at the weekend and their reward is the trip to Celtic Park.

There is a strong Celtic support in Buckie and that is evident given that they play in the Green and White Hoops. The response from their players showcased just how delighted they are to be sharing the pitch with their heroes.
It is a draw that will net the Highlanders in excess of £200k given the amount of supporters on the Home Cup Ticket Scheme. Not only that, it’s likely a game that’ll be picked up for TV coverage, such is the disparity between the two teams.
