Video: Callum McGregor mocks Rangers midfielder during Celtic win

Celtic captain Callum McGregor appeared to mock Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence and his attempts to hurt him. Rangers pundits spent the week talking about how Philippe Clement had to devise a plan that would stop Celtic from taking control of the midfield.

In the early stages of the game, Lawrence attempted to stamp his authority on the game by leaving a late one on the Celtic captain only for the 30-year-old to bounce up, smiling and ask him ‘if he was the new hardman’.

McGregor appeared to relish the attempts to man mark him and with colleagues like Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley by his side, their movement in the middle of the park totally dominated Rangers.

There was no sight of Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell, who said that he felt that he wanted to win more than the Celtic skipper. McGregor, who has 20 major honours to his name, will be hoping to add two more accolades to that list in the coming weeks.
