Video – Celtic Fans Arrive & Make Themselves Heard In Copenhagen

The first lot of Celtic fans travelling to Denmark arrived last night, with many more heading over today and tomorrow. Those already in Copenhagen made themselves heard with the new favourite chant of the European away support. Taking over The Old Irish pub in Tivoli Gardens, which is open 24 hours and serves the Danish trademark beverage of Carlsberg for less than the equivalent of £2.50, Celtic fans kicked off the trip with a superb rendition of ‘Papa Francesco Ale’.

The atmosphere across the city’s Irish bars and streets is sure to be incredible over the next couple of days, especially if Celtic can pull off a good result tomorrow evening. The Bhoys go into the tie as favourites, which is a rarity for the knockout stages of European competition and means supporters will be heading across with hope of more than just a party.
