Video: Celtic prepare at Lennoxtown but January review outstanding

Celtic prepared for the clash against Hamilton Accies at Lennoxtown yesterday as the team were put through their paces as they look to cut into Rangers’ 23 point lead at the top of the league. With Steven Gerrard’s side away to Hibs, Celtic may hope that they can cut this down to 20 points.

Standing in Celtic’s way are Brian Rice’s Hamilton Accies, who were defeated 5-1 at Paradise back in August. The Scottish Champions are without a win this calendar year, with a run of four games without a win equalling a 21-year-old record.

Neil Lennon will take the team but questions remain about his future. The supporters were promised a January review but so far there has yet to be an indication that this will be forthcoming any time soon. There is an apathy around the club and it is quite sad considering the anticipation that the fans had going into this year, even if it was behind closed doors.

  1. THe whole place needs to be thoroughly hosed down and scrubbed as the stench of failure is over-powering. Frimpong is the first of many. McGregor, Ajer, Duffy, Hamed, Eduoard, Jullien, and a few more first teamers will go this summer. Huge rebuilding job. Lennon Lawwell will be off hopefully taking some of the Tory scum from the board. The whole place will change. I see a few years in the wilderness unless they appoint a Benitez typre manager. A cheapo replacement will struggle as substandard players will be recruited, they might win a few league titles before we get our act together. It is hard to win trophies with a work in progress.
