Palestine have secured passage to the Last 16 of the AFC Asian Cup after a 3-0 win over Hong Kong. There were Celtic supporters dotted amongst the Palestine supporters in Doha, who were given momentary reprieve from the agony of what is going on in their homeland to celebrate the victory on the pitch.
The Palestinians have defied the odds to make it this far.

The Celtic support, led of course by the Green Brigade, have shown solidarity with the Palestinian people for many years and in recent months, this has received wider coverage owing to the conflict in Palestine with Israel.
I don’t see the connection myself. We don’t have a single Palestinean player.
