Video – Celtic TV’s Unique Angle of Moi Elyounoussi’s diving header against the Rangers

Celtic TV this morning released their Unique Angle video from the game against theRangers yesterday that ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw. That result as theRangers manager Steven Gerrard noted afterwards suits his team better than ours as they strive to complete the league season undefeated.

We have one more chance to make sure that doesn’t happen and that should be at Ibrox. We’ll know for sure when the post split fixtures are announced shortly but the SPFL are having the regular problem trying to make sure that team’s in the top and bottom six get the correct allocation of home fixtures. And as we pointed out last night, that could mean that theRangers would have to visit Celtic Park for a third time this season, rather than the one outstanding Scottish Premiership Glasgow Derby being played at Ibrox.

That would have happened had the game been meaningful in terms of the league race but as they are chasing this fake Invincible tag to match Celtic’s 2016-17 achievement (they lost to St Mirren in the League Cup remember) that is probably not going to happen and St Johnstone or some other top six ‘Diddy’ side will get the short straw. That’s how it works right?

A word on the penalty shout yesterday. If you were watching on Sky Sports they made little of the Celtic claim. Showing two angles in looked like a penalty from behind Edouard as there was clear contact but from the referee’s angle it looked like he jumped out the way of the tackle. Eddie should have been braver, stood his ground and it would have been a stonewaller. The booking was a joke though.

Celtic TV commentary’s immediate reaction was it was a penalty and the Celtic captain, manager and Edouard himself all believe it was a stonewaller.

TheRangers have yet to concede a penalty in the league this season. That’s a record that will NOT happen though as the Secretive Lanarkshire refereeing society will make sure that one or two are given when it doesn’t matter – ie they are a few goals to the good – for their own self preservation.

Here’s the Unique Angle…
