Video: Daizen Maeda scores but Hearts are level from the spot after more VAR drama

Daizen Maeda scored for Celtic to make it 3-3 only for Lawrence Shankland to equalise for the hosts a matter of minutes later. It has been a topsy-turvy clash in Edinburgh and Celtic need to get themselves back in control.

Aaron Mooy’s shot was parried by Craig Gordon, allowing Maeda to pounce and finish cooly into the roof of the net. The Japanese forward, who was struggled in the final third this season, took the acclaim of the travelling support and it was clear that the goal meant a great deal to him.

Hearts had a penalty after Jenz clattered Devlin. Hart saved the penalty but Ginnelly scored from the rebound. The referee decided that players had encroached the box and it was retaken. Lawrence Shankland made no mistake from the spot at the second attempt.
