After a year out with a knee injury American star Sarah Teegarden is back in action for the Celtic FC Women’s side.
There’s a brilliant interview with the articulate midfielder on the Every Game Matters series on You Tube that is well worth watching. Sarah talks about the frustration of the being out in injured and also the delays in getting the game re-started after the winter break was extended by the Scottish Government restrictions on football outside the Scottish Premiership and Championship.
Sarah talks about fighting for Professional women’s football and it should be noted that the SWPL1 was the only professional league that was closed down during the recent lockdown.
There’s plenty of footage of the game on Sunday as Celtic got back to winning ways against Hearts with a 3-0 win. Teegarden mentions the disappointment within the camp following the defeat to Glasgow City last weekend but reckons that a Champions League spot and perhaps the title itself is still not beyond this young Celtic side.
