Video: Ex-Celt Griffiths scores stunning goal as striker auditions for new club

Former Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths started his life Down Under with a great goal in his first game for Mandurah City. The 31-year-old made the move in order to get himself up to speed and put himself in the shop window.

It didn’t take long for Griffiths to showcase his left foot, as he drove a frightening effort into the top corner. Western Knights were on the receiving end.

The player will likely be picked up after his three-game stint with the Division Three side. He is still a young man and can hopefully perform at a high level in the A-League.

Griffiths scored 123 goals for Celtic in 261 appearances but off-field issues plagued the striker’s time in Glasgow. His winners medals cannot be taken away but the striker is still of a good age, meaning he can get his career back on track.
