Video: Ex-Celt Kieran Tierney scores first goal for Arsenal

KIERAN TIERNEY scored his first Premier League goal for Arsenal this afternoon with a strike against relegation-doomed Watford. The ex-Celtic left-back’s strike made it 2-0 and Arsenal even referred to him as a ‘Bhoy’ in their tweet announcing the goal. It was a tidy enough finish but it wasn’t quite his goal against Kilmarnock, though.

KT made his reputation in Glasgow with tough tackling, dominant attacks and impressive displays. The Scotland Internationalist left Celtic last year for £25m but injuries hampered him getting to his best. In recent games though, he has shown the Arsenal fans that he was a steal.

It is brilliant to see that he is performing at the highest level as it works as advertising for the quality of coaching at Celtic to encourage young players to come in to the club.

Meanwhile, Celtic’s replacement for KT was Greg Taylor and the ex-Killie man limped off in the 2-0 win over Ross County today meaning that the club may need to look at bringing in a replacement should he have any long term injury.
