Video: Fortuitous goal from Turnbull doubles the lead at Paradise

Well, if the first one was viewed upon as sublime, the second goal was anything but that.

A superb touch from substitute Giorgos Giakoumakis found Jota on the wing, where the winger worked his magic. After tearing the right-back to shreds, the Portuguese winger cut the ball back into the middle where not only David Turnbull, but Giakoumakis were waiting.

You’d have put your hous on Turnbull to tuck the ball away unmarked from six yards, but the midfielder miscued the ball, trickling it towards the keeper.

Yet his perseverance saw him slide in, and the Ferencvaros goalkeeper’s clearance hit Turnbull on the knee to lift the ball into Row Z.

Celtic had been huffing and puffing all day for a second, including the penalty miss by Callum McGregor. I think this one settles it.
