Video: French Eddy scores on return alongside Welsh goal as Celtic score twice in quick succession

Odsonne Edouard has been out of the starting XI for two weeks now, but it was always thought he would score on his comeback – and that is exactly what has happened following a brilliant team move by Ange’s men.

Kyogo Furuhashi has continued his dream start to life at Celtic Park, playing a beautiful outside of the boot pass to James Forrest, who squared the ball into Edouard.

It is exciting to see that the two have seemingly clicked, and with Forrest knowing exactly how Edouard plays, this has the potential to be a mesmerising trio.

And with Edouard reportedly not on his way out of Parkhead this summer – apparently running his contract down in East Glasgow until he can move on a free next summer – we could see this trio link up a lot over the course of the next twelve months.

And Stephen Welsh added to the scoresheet just moments later; the Glaswegian centre-half scoring his second goal in Celtic colours, a superb header following a fine cross from French Eddy.

It represents another strong start to life for Ange Postecoglou, who’s Celtic team look miles better than the side who sheepishly rocked up to Tynecastle just two weeks ago.
