Video: Glasgow Cup Derby, Joey Dawson inches away from winning it for Celtic

The Glasgow Cup Derby on Saturday afternoon was played behind closed doors but was shown live to all Celtic season ticket holders on the Pass to Paradise. If you missed that the highlights are now available via Celtic TV in the match where Karamoko Dembele gave up first team duties for weekend and created some great chances playing down the left and also had an effort at goal himself that came off the crossbar.

Charlie McCann gave the visitors the lead just after the interval and to be fair to the lad, what a strike it was! Celtic heads didn’t drop however and MacKenzie Carse showed great composure just after the hour mark to find the bottom corner of theRangers net.

In the closing stages it looked like Joey Dawson was scoring from close range but with any connection all that was needed the striker was inches away from winning the match for the young Hoops.

This draw on Saturday for Tommy McIntrye’s side followed by good wins for both Ange Postecoglou and Fran Alonso meant that it was a very good weekend for the club.

Here are the Glasgow Cup highlights plus the Match Report from the official Celtic site…
