Video: Goal of the season contender from Matt O’Riley and Celtic

Matt O’Riley fired Celtic into the lead with a stunning strike. The Danish Internationalist is having a brilliant season under Brendan Rodgers and he continued that with a vital goal against St Johnstone.

Alistair Johnston fired the ball into Mikey Johnston, who took a cute touch down for Kyogo, which allowed O’Riley to rush on, take a touch before firing an effort into the top corner.

It was a great team goal and O’Riley took it brilliantly. It could be a Goal of the Season contender given how well it was worked.

  1. O’Riley’s goal was absolutely brilliant. But to be honest, he had a complete stinker today. Apart from the goal, and I’m not undervaluing that at all, but goal aside, he was non-existent. He has been off the boil now for a few games. I hope this gives him the lift he needs.
