Video: Hartson and Sutton combine to put Rangers out the Scottish Cup

On this day, incredibly 16 years ago, Celtic beat Rangers 2-1 at Paradise. The result, in the Scottish Cup, meant that Rangers had gone five years without a victory at Parkhead.

Chris Sutton got the opener after John Hartson’s flick on, then the roles were reversed as Sutton flicked Agathe’s cross to Hartson who made no mistake. That second goal put Celtic 2-1 ahead, after Fernando Ricksen had equalised just after half time.

Martin O’Neill said that Celtic were worthy winners and to Alex McLeish’s credit, he agreed.
