Celtic B had to fight back from 3-1 down to gain a point against Queen’s Park in the Glasgow Cup. Arriving at Newlands earlier today, manager Tommy McIntyre knew that they would face a tough test against the League One outfit.
Joey Dawson scored within the first minute for the Celts but the hosts responded with three goals before half time, thanks to goals from Darcy, Thomson and Williamson. Karamoko Dembele pulled Celtic back into contention through a penalty kick, which he won and then confidently dispatched. The game time will please him and also please manager Ange Postecoglou. However, the goal of the game would come from Tsoanelp Letsosa.
Substitute Letsosa produced a moment of brilliance late in the game to snatch an equaliser for the Celts. He smashed an effort from range into the top left corner.
CELTIC: Oluwayemi, Dede, Paterson, Murray, Corr (MacKenzie), Carse, Dembele, Summers, Dawson (Doak), Moffat (Letsosa), Brooks (Vata).
SUBS: Easton, Morrison, Ure.
