We recently reported on the development team’s 4-1 win over Hibernian in the Reserve Cup semi-final. That game featured a few first teamers. Klimala scored his first goal in the club’s colours, whilst Elhamed returned from injury and Karamoko Dembele stood out with a magnificent brace.
The development team were back in action on 3 March, hosting Queens Park at Lennoxtown in the Glasgow Cup. Stephen Welsh, who made his first team debut at Hamilton last month, opened the scoring for Celtic early on. Liam Burt doubled the advantage before Kieran McGrath rounded off the goals, as Celtic strolled to a 3-0 win.
The highlights of the match were uploaded to Celtic TV yesterday.
