Video: Highlights from Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic 2-1 Celtic B

Highlights from Celtic B team’s Southern league debut against Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic are available to watch now. Tommy McIntyre fielded a very young side, with so many Academy players involved with the first team at Celtic Park against Preston North End. His young side lost narrowly, by 2-1 to the experienced Midlothian side but there were plenty of positives for McIntyre to take from this game.

Watch for yourselves, with some feedback below…

“Keeper has to do better with that first goal… looked stuck in mud,” Alex Brown.

“Competetive games for our youngsters can only be a good thing. Learning to play against men,” Monty.

“Thats ok lads first game, time to bed in and it’ll come good,” Gerry Mcbride.

“Tough luck bhoys,” Paul.

“Good work for Glasgow Celtic B. I support Celtic B playing in the Lowland League. It allows young Scottish players to get early experience of competitive senior soccer. The young players will develop from playing senior sides.
They play B teams of the big sides in the lower leagues, in France, Germany, Croatia, Belgium, Croatia, Portugal, and Spain. This idea will allow more young Scottish players to get more match experience,” Inverness fan.

“I hope for scottish football development that Celtic B (the) Rangers B keep there teams in lowland league permanently. Also would like Aberdeen and Hibs, Hearts, to do the same Spanish teams do it we need to do it all the time,” Matthew Hilton.
