Video: Highlights from League Cup win against Ross County

Celtic travel to Dingwall on Sunday to face Ross County. Ange Postecoglou’s side have been there on two occasions this season, winning 3-1 in the league before a League Cup fixture at the end of August.

Skipper Callum McGregor, who is so often the provider, capitalised on a quick David Turnbull corner and managed to direct the ball into the back of the net. Giorgos Giakomakis made it 2-0. The ball was passed into Tony Ralston, who was playing in an advanced role, flicking the ball onto Giakoumakis who took two touches before sending his shot into the back of the net.

County pulled one back. However, it was soon 3-1. McGregor took a shot after a lay off from Giakoumakis before the keeper palmed it into the path of Daizen Maeda, who made no mistake. The Japanese forward showed great industry to anticipate the ball dropping and restoring Celtic’s two goal lead.

It was 4-1 through James Forrest. Ralston came plundering up the right flank before a neat interchange with Turnbull, who clipped the ball back into his International colleagues path, who looked up and found the winger, who put the matter beyond doubt.
