Video: Iconic Namakura Doughball Moment

With the news that Shunsuke Nakamura has retired from professional football at the age of 44, it is natural that Celtic fans will look back at his greatest moments in the Hoops. His amazing free kicks against Manchester United, the title clincher at Rugby Park, and that 40 yard screamer against Rangers – there are plenty of special goals and pieces of play to choose from.

However, one of the most iconic Nakamura moments of his post Celtic days was the video in which a young supporter attempts to pronounce the Japanese star’s name, having got him on a football card. The Bhoy’s father was less than impressed, sniping “Shunsuke Nakamura ya f’in’ doughball!”

The clip immediately entered Scottish social media folklore and is laughed at by fans of all clubs to this day.

The recent news gives a great excuse to watch it again. Here goes:
