Video: Jablonec pull another one back after weak defending by Celtic

FK Jablonec pulled one back after some weak defending by Celtic. The full-backs were caught up the pitch and Malinsky found himself with Carl Starfelt and Joe Hart to beat. The winger cut around the Swedish defender and dinked the ball over Hart, who managed the slightest of touches.

Hart whirled round to see the ball hit the post and Nir Bitton’s attempted clearance end up in the net. It gave the Czech side some hope but moments later, Ryan Christie restored the two goal cushion. UEFA have given the goal to Bitton as an own goal, something that will not help the Israeli defender’s confidence after a gruelling few weeks.

  1. Starfelt looks very average. The big Serbian might have been a better option. I thought Starfelt was one of the new players ready for the first team, he doesn’t look it. Maybe he needs time. Which we don’t have. Shane Duffy atarted well right enough and that turned out rotten. WE will see. But Bitton should be replaced. Welsh is there and although he is young he may be good. But he is better than Bitton. still need a right back , a left back and another 2 centre backs. Basically a defence.
