Brendan Rodgers joked that after speaking to James Forrest this morning, he reckons that the winger will have to get his money back on that holiday he’d booked, now that he’s been selected by Steve Clarke for the Scotland squad going to Euro 2024…
That was obviously a joke, and Jamesy has previously said he didn’t have anything booked as he was waiting to see what happened. Now he’s got the well deserved call-up Jamesy will be looking to round off his domestic season in style at Hampden – a ground he always seems to play well at – on Saturday in the Scottish Cup final against theRangers.
Today at his media conference at Hampden, where no fan media are permitted as it’s a Scottish FA policy for the men’s game, the Celtic manager spoke of his delight at Jamesy’s call up and talked about the four Celtic players in the squad and how that are all fully committed to playing for their country every chance they get.
