Joe Hart has played in major international tournaments for England and has won the English Premier League with Manchester City. Therefore, he has played alongside an array of talented defenders, including household names such as John Terry, Rio Ferdinand and Vincent Kompany. This season, the goalkeeper has enjoyed a fantastic understanding two little known centre backs by comparison.
Hart, Starfelt and Vickers are three cogs in a strong machine that has seen Celtic concede the fewest goals in the Cinch SPFL to date. Speaking of the defensive duo, Hart said:
“I think we’ve got really comfortable with each other.
“Both Cameron and Carl aren’t the most vocal of centre-halves I’ve played with. But they’re two boys you can really trust, and really rely on.
“We’ve kind of got a really good rhythm going, we’re there for each other when we’re needed to be. We know, ultimately with the way we’re playing, that we need a lot of options and a lot of angles. We know each others rhythms, which helps, so I think we’re in a good flow.”
Those comments came as part of an exclusive interview with Celtic TV, which was uploaded to the club’s YouTube channel this morning. You can view it below:
