Video: Johnny Doyle Scores The Winning Goal Against Morton

On this day in 1980, lifelong Celtic fan Johnny Doyle scored a wonderful winning goal against Morton at Cappielow.

The ball was squared to the midfielder at the edge of the box and as it bounced up, Doyle struck it on the volley, directing the ball perfectly into the far corner.

Playing for Celtic meant everything to Doyle and he was famed for showing his passion, sometimes too much, on the park. However, on this occasion he stood still and nonchalantly raised his right arm and walked over to enjoy the congratulations of his teammates.
