Video: Killie take lead after abject half from Celtic

Matty Kennedy scored Kilmarnock’s second of the afternoon to make it 2-1 at Rugby Park. The Scottish Champions have been poor in the second half and they have allowed Derek McInnes’ side to get after them.

Celtic’s retention of the ball has been shocking and it has allowed the hosts to pile pressure onto Rodgers’ team. The lack of effort from players running back in, like the fresh legs of James Forrest, was embarrassing.

Rodgers said after the European exit that he needs quality in the team and that was never more evident than this afternoon.

Philips is probably the worst CB I’ve seen at Celtic. We need to get decent players in, goalkeeper is a must. A domineering central midfielder to let the ball players get in with their game. Absolutely shocking 2nd half performance today
