Video: Kyogo Furuhashi: He’s on his way to Paradise

Celtic’s new signing Kyogo Furuhashi is Parkhead bound, after leaving Japan earlier today ahead of joining up with Ange Postecoglou’s squad after a frustrating period of quarantine, similar to the situation with the Celtic manager when he left from Japan with the same destination in mind…Paradise.

It’s a pity that this signing couldn’t have been made slightly earlier so that Kyogo Furuhashi could have been involved in the Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland, if Celtic can get past the Danes it guarantees Europa League group stage football this season at the very least.

Johnston is going to be out for a month or so after this injury against Bristol City

Mikey Johnston’s tight hamstring which occurred during the goalless draw against Bristol City last week means that the wide left position is threadbare going into this crucial European qualifier, although Niall J has suggested a tactical wildcard that Ange might be minded to deploy this evening.

If we can get through this round then the addition of Kyogo Furuhashi to the squad is certainly going to enhance the attacking options for what lays ahead – a mouthwatering tie against the winners of the PSV Eindhoven v Galatasaray qualifier. Ange Postecoglou will know that he’ll need to strength further for that tie, if we get that far.
