Video: Kyogo misses sitter as post-Celtic struggles continue

Former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi missed a sitter for Birmingham City earlier today. The Japanese forward came off the bench as Chris Davies’ side sought to get back into the game against Southampton but the 30-year-old missed a huge chance to pull one back with a huge opportunity to score his first league goal for the Championship side outfit.

Celtic have not replaced Kyogo since he left for Rennes back in January. There had been a decline in the attacker’s form in the latter period at Celtic but some attributed that to Brendan Rodgers rather than the player himself. The continuing theme appears to suggest that Kyogo is unlikely to make the World Cup team next summer.
