Video: Lundstram Madden bromance… No comment

The most remarkable thing that has happened on Easter Sunday took place just over a couple of thousand years ago. However the most remarkable thing that NEVER happened on Easter Sunday took place at Hampden Park in Glasgow just two days ago and it didn’t just happen once but on at least FOUR occasions. Astonishingly each and every one of these incidents ended the same way, with referee Bobby Madden refusing to show a yellow card to the player in question, John Lundstram, the man with Licence to Foul.

Even if Madden reckoned this serious of fouls as being unworthy of a yellow card each time on their own merit then surely even then the yellow card would have been shown for repeat offences? Pro-theRangers media commentators were yesterday claiming that Lundstram would not have received a red card because he would not have continued to commit the subsequent fouls had Madden shown him a yellow card, but even that argument points to the same thing, Madden had issued a Licence to Foul.

“That’s the 4 yellow cards right there I was talking about yesterday. Shocking refereeing,” Bob Crilly noted. “It’s OK to admit (the)Rangers deserved it and were the better side, while calling out Madden for those decisions he made as nothing else but out and out incompetence. The man is a disgrace,” Glasgow is Green Podcast added.

“I presume this is what they call “ breaking up play”? Celtic players complained about it all day to Madden and got nothing,” TigertimEsq noted. “Every time he didn’t book him gave him licence to have another one, same with allowing Bassey to manhandle Rogic every time!’ Joe Holmes added.

Chris Sutton and John Hartson had their say…

And Kris Boyd could see the funny side of it all in this conversation with the man himself Bobby Madden…

Ange Postecoglou repeated says that he wants his team to go about and play their football, Madden on Sunday made sure that this did not happen. The Celtic manager can’t say that he wasn’t warned….
