Video: No Doubt Who’s Boss As Ange Responds To Juranovic’s Right Back Reply

Ange Postecoglou has a fantastic way of dealing with the media. He’s never slow to pick them up on any disrespect or incorrect line of questioning, but he’s also very open and insightful. This time it wasn’t the media who were stung by the Australian though, as Ange responded to a question about Josip Juranovic’s preferred position by asserting his authority over the team.

“Josip Juranovic was talking to us about his positioning, he’s obviously been play at left back for a lot of this season, he was saying he sees his long term future at the club as a right back – is that something you’d agree with?” Ange was asked at the pre-match press conference.

The boss responded in a calm yet assertive manner, leaving the players in no doubt as to who is in charge.

“I’m glad he sees a long term future, that’s the main thing,” he said. However, he left his mark by continuing: “I’m pretty sure Josip will allow me to select the team rather than him making the decisions, so we’ll see how we go.”
