Video: Odsonne Edouard scores Celtic’s Third as Postecoglou era gets off to a flyer

Celtic’s win against Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon was secured with a late Odsonne Edouard goal that gave Ange Postecoglou’s squad a 3-1 victory over the English side. Josh Windass had given Wednesday an early lead as Celtic started poorly but gradually the tide turned and Albian Ajeti netted to level the match and in doing so scored the first goal of the Postecoglou era.

Then young Academy starlet Owen Moffat fired Celtic ahead before almost the entire Celtic side was changed over with half an hour remaining. Celtic continued to look the better side but the win wasn’t assured until Edouard got his first sniff of goal in the closing stages and you can watch below what happened next.

A decent start then with plenty of talking points and many of the younger guys and fringe players doing well and will have impressed the new manager. When Wednesday had corners we had a man on the back post incidentally. Just saying.

The game ended Celtic 3 Sheffield Wednesday 1. Man of the Match – Owen Moffat.
