Video: On This Day (1989), A Young Paul Lambert Scored Against Celtic

For anyone who enjoys random rewinds and on this day visits to the past, the LilZe_7 Twitter account is a magnificent source of Celtic match highlights.

Among the account’s uploads today was the 2-1 win over St Mirren at Celtic Park on this day in 1989. At first glance this may seem a routine victory, goals from Chris Morris and Andy Walker securing the win. However, it was interesting to note that a young Paul Lambert scored for the Buddies. Few would have been able to foresee that he would go on to win the Champions League with Borrusia Dortmund and eventually captain Celtic!
