Video: Paddy McCourt Scores His First Celtic Goal, On This Day 2009

Paddy McCourt was a genius. You don’t called the Derry Pele for nothing, but the first time he ever bequeathed the Celtic support with his talents was during a 4-0 cup win against Falkirk, on this day in 2009.

On that occasion, McCourt went past three defenders before chipping the goalkeeper under challenge. It was the first, of what was to become a trademark, McCourt wonder goal.
