Video: President of Albania creates country’s first Celtic supporters club

THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA’S President Illir Meta has announced his plans to create the first ever Albanian Celtic Supporters club. The Balkans leader took to Twitter to confirm that the nation would have their own supporters club. President Meta is friends with ex-Celt Rudi Vata and he often takes to social media to profess his love for the Scottish Champions.

In his post, Meta said that he would realise his dream by making a Celtic supporters club in Tirana. He bonded with the supporters during a European away matches as well as learning of the club from Vata and former NATO chief George Robertson, who both spoke highly of the club.

Hopefully Meta will be able to come to Glasgow and experience Celtic Park properly this year. Supporters should be able to visit the new supporters base in three days when it opens.
