Celtic B met Cumbernauld Colts for the second time in a week, yesterday. The Hoops picked up where they left off in midweek, when Rocco Vata put the team ahead with a stunning strike from an acute angle in the 11th minute. However, a repeat of the 2-0 victory in Cumbernauld could not be replicated as the spoils were shared in the Penny Cars Stadium.
Vata’s opening strike was well worth watching…

The Irish U17 international, and son of former Celtic player Rudi, continues to impress with sensational goals. He found the net with this strike a few weeks ago:

Despite Rocco’s effort, the visitors hit back with an equaliser in the 67th minute. Celtic then restored their advantage as the game entered its final quarter, before Cumbernauld drew level again within 60 seconds. The 2-2 result leaves Celtic B in 6th place, with games in hand potentially enabling them to rise to third position.
