Video: Scott Brown’s brilliant response to Rangers claim

Scott Brown bowed out after fourteen successful years with Celtic today in the 0-0 draw at Easter Road. On his 620th appearance for the club, the Celtic captain couldn’t inspire his side to all three points as a sorry campaign ended in a stalemate. Elsewhere, Rangers completed their unbeaten league campaign with a win at Ibrox over Brown’s future employers, Aberdeen.

There were calls from those at Ibrox that this current crop of players were ‘invincible’ having gone the full 38 games without defeat; however, Brown issued a brilliant response stating that during his time, he had completed a ‘proper’ invincible season.

Brendan Rodgers’ team in 2016/17 finished the league drawing just four times and winning 34 as they won all three trophies that season. Celtic followed up this first Treble with three more in consecutive seasons.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that this season is over…It has been painful and soul destroying.
Its bad enough that we were poor…but to watch them celebrate is nauseating.
The only consolation I can take from it is…
They have felt this way for 9 years and counting….That makes me feel better.
As for the Club…Where do you begin…?
Will we ever get to really know why BR left…why we sold KT….why we hired Lenny…why we never signed McGinn…?
So many bad decisions made at Board level…and so many bad decisions made at signing and playing level.
Given, however, that its what the players do on the pitch that really matters….all I’ll say is.
When it comes to playing from the back through the middle to the front football…we’re better than anyone.
When it comes to the final ball and finishing…there’s no one worse than us.
Whether its a final pass…or a cross…or a cut back…we stink…and if anyone ever strikes a Trophy for “Hitting the opposition with your final ball”…wee Greg Taylor would skoosh it.
There is no composure from any of the players…and too much “Roy of the Rovers” fancy stuff.
Oh…and does no one practice shooting at training…??
I’d love one week at Lennoxtown to address these problems…They’re so obvious…yet so overlooked.
    Rant over…
I now await Mr. Howe’s arrival…and can only hope and pray for much better days ahead…They couldn’t be any worse mind you.
    Hail hail
