Adam Idah scored a sensational third for Celtic with a terrific effort. The Irishman found himself in unfamiliar territory coming in off the left wing but took a touch to set himself before curling a right footed effort into the top corner.

Nick Walsh paused the restart as Kevin Clancy checked for a possible foul in the build up but it was cleared, allowing Idah to celebrate a collector’s item of a goal. The Irishman had a number of half chances in the game but the only glaring chance he missed came from the first half header that was smartly saved by United’s No.1.
Celtic’s No.9 was replaced before the restart by compatriot Johnny Kenny, who will be hoping to impressive in his cameo before full time.
