Celtic are still in talks with Hajduk Split over the transfer of Mario Vuskovic. The 19-year-old defender is believed to be nearing a deal to sign for Celtic, with the club set to offer him £12k-per-week after a deal worth £4m. However, the player was playing for Split today in their friendly against Śląsk Wrocław.

Vuskovic once said that he models his game on Spanish legend Sergio Ramos and the composure and also arrogance of a CB demanding to take a penalty reflects the Real Madrid hero. Vuskovic would certainly improve the Celtic defence and hopefully a deal can be sealed to bring him to Paradise as Ange Postecoglou’s first signing. The Australian boss has a list of transfer targets and Vuskovic is said to be very high on that list. Hopefully a deal is done so that the boss and his recruitment team can refocus their attentions on the next targets.
