Video: Striking similarities between Kyogo and Miovski goals against Rangers

Celtic retained their eight point advantage at the top of the Cinch Premiership after Sunday’s 1-1 draw between Aberdeen and theRangers at Pittodrie. The Scottish Champions were disappointing as they dropped points against Motherwell on Saturday.

The Ibrox club were afforded the chance to go within six points with a win; however, Bojan Miovski struck early in a dramatic afternoon in the North East. The 24-year-old took his goal brilliantly, beating Jack Butland with a special finish but the way that the goal was scored had shades of a Celtic goal.

The goal had a striking similarity with the goal that Kyogo scored against theRangers in the win back in September. Matt O’Riley’s header came down to the Japanese striker, who thrashed his volley beyond the former Stoke City goalkeeper.

Celtic have been linked with a move for the Macedonian attacker as an alternative to Kyogo. It will be an interesting one to see as he is clearly an excellent talent and would fit the Celtic profile and continue the trading model that Aberdeen are looking to perfect.
