Video: Sutton And Hartson Put Rangers Out The Cup, On This Day

On this day in 2005, the deadly duo of Chris Sutton and John Hartson put Rangers to the sword and enabled Celtic to advance to the Scottish Cup Semi Final.

The pair combined for Celtic’s first goal, Hartson flicking Douglas’ goal kick into Sutton’s path for the opener in the 37th minute. The roles were reversed when, after Rangers had equalised, Sutton flicked Agathe’s cross on to the Welshman who cooly slotted home to restore the lead.

Paradise erupted and the match finished 2-1. A great derby day triumph.
