Video: Tommy Gemmell Becomes First British Player To Score In Two European Cup Finals

On this day, in 1970, Celtic lost the European Cup final to Feyenoord. It’s not a day celebrated in Celtic history, but it was the night that Tommy Gemmell scored from an indirect free kick, becoming the first British player to score in two European Cup finals.

To this day, only Gemmell and Phil Neal have achieved the feat! Meanwhile, Bobby Charlton is the only other Brit to score two European Cup final goals, but they both came in the same final (1968 v Benfica at Wembley)
