Video: Unique Angle returns as Klimala scores first Celtic goal

PATRYK KLIMALA seized his opportunity in Lyon last night as the Polish striker made Leigh Griffiths’ loss his gain with his first Celtic goal. OGC Nice had taken the lead after poor defending allowed Kasper Dolberg to open the scoring but Klimala restored parity after charging down the goalkeeper allowing him to knock the ball into the empty net.

The Polish striker joined Neil Lennon’s side from Jagiellonia Białystok in January but failed to really make an impact as Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard’s red hot form fired Celtic to their 9th title amidst a global pandemic.

However, with Griffiths being left at home due to fitness concerns, Klimala has staked his claim for a place in the Celtic side with a goal. He spent lockdown bulking up so that he could make an impact on the Scottish game.
