Celtic have been all over Real Madrid tonight, but find themselves 2-0 down after a slick counter-attack found Vinicius Junior in acres of space – with the Brazilian slotting home with ease – before a Luka Modric masterclass doubled the lead.
The Hoops have been superb tonight, with Callum McGregor slamming the ball against the post and crisp build-up putting the Spanish giants to the sword at Celtic Park.
The signs were there towards the end of the first half that Ange’s men could concede, which were increased when Daizen Maeda spurned an easy chance just minutes after the restart.
But a counter-attack found Celtic lacking, and Vinicius slotted the ball home with ease past Joe Hart to put Celtic on the back foot.
And, with players pushing forward, Modric doubled the lead just moments later after curling the ball past Hart with the outside of his boot to all but kill Celtic hope.
