Video: Watch the Bhoys prepare for Livi clash

Celtic were hard at it up at Lennoxtown ahead of our Scottish Premiership clash with David Martindale and his struggling Livingston side this afternoon.

After successive defeats and losing to Hearts at Celtic Park for the first time since Tony Mowbray’s ill-fated spell in charge of the club, it’s imperative that Brendan Rodgers addresses this current slump and get back to winning ways.

It’s been a tough one to swallow that we’ve shot ourselves in the foot that badly that there is the real possibility that theRangers could leapfrog us to the top spot in Scottish football on 30 December.

Nobody thought the team would hit the rocks this hard of late, even with the obvious downsizing which took place in the summer, injuries to key players and the teething problems with the new manager and style of play.

We simply must rectify that alarming trend of late and get back to our strong and aggressive football which has garnered so much success for the past decade or so under successive managers.

Having resolved the feud (for now at least) between the club’s heirarchy and the Green Brigade, it could just be the boost and cavalry call we need at this moment in time to rally and lift spirits on the field of play.

Hopefully tomorrow we start fast and well and score an early goal to settle nerves and show that this league is anything but over. With a visit of our rivals coming on the horizon next weekend, Celtic need to send out a clear message of defiance to those who think that we will meekly just release the Scottish Premiership trophy without any sort of rousing reaction or fight. It’s crucial we show no fear this afternoon.

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
