As The Celtic Star reported some time ago, a group of Celtic fans based in Willie Maley’s birthplace of Newry (Co. Down) have formed a committee with the aim of erecting a statue in tribute to the Celtic legend.

Yesterday, the group held their first fundraising event, which was a huge success.

We as a club are delighted to be involved with this group and look forward to many more of their upcoming events. Have a watch below to find out a little bit more!
