Video: Willie Maley Memorial Group Hold First Event To Raise Funds For Statue In Newry

As The Celtic Star reported some time ago, a group of Celtic fans based in Willie Maley’s birthplace of Newry (Co. Down) have formed a committee with the aim of erecting a statue in tribute to the Celtic legend.

Yesterday, the group held their first fundraising event, which was a huge success.

If you would like to support the group in providing a permanent tribute to a Celtic great in Newry, then please contact the Newry Willie Maley Memorial Group on Twitter using the handle @MaleyNewry
