Video:Callum McGregor opens the scoring, before play is suspended

Callum McGregor opened the scoring for Scotland this evening with a fine right-footed strike. The Celtic skipper showed great poise to finish smartly after a Scotland corner broke favourably to the midfielder in the box. The referee decided to head off the pitch following the goal to speak with SFA and UEFA Officials about the state of the Hampden pitch before suspending play for twenty minutes.

The surface does not look to be in a great state following a ferocious downpour from the Glasgow skies. Following the suspension, another pitch inspection will be required in order to deem whether play can continue this evening.
