FC Midtjylland’s video of their football drive-in which allows the driver and passengers in 2000 cars to watch their behind closed doors matches as Danish football comes out of the corona-virus lockdown to resume play.
Former Celtic Star Erik Sviatchenko – who recently was interviewed right here on The Celtic Star – makes an appearance in this video which also gives an indication of how clubs are going to operate when play resumes in Scotland.
Jordan Campbell, who is the Rangers correspondent at The Athletic has picked up on this interesting FC Midtjylland video, saying: “Some creative thinking from the Danes. A 2,000 car drive-in to watch the Midtjylland game. Should be easy to replicate and on a bigger scale too.”

And one of the comments to the above tweet came from the personal account of Kerry K.
Kerry is Head of Marketing and Multimedia at Celtic, she has implemented numerous high profile initiatives at Celtic so far including the various hugely popular live events at the Hydro – ie the Lisbon Lions, Brendan Rodgers and Scott Brown events, the Celtic Festival at the SECC and of course the introduction of “Pistol Pete’s Disco Lights” with various experimental uses on match day as the marketing team try to best integrate with the traditional supporter created atmosphere.
A few weeks back Kerry asked on social media for ideas for improving the visual experience at Paradise after the Bundesliga resumed and she’s obviously been watching that league very closely for ideas and inspiration. The fact that the Midtjylland video has attracted her attention is interesting – especially if you watch the video!
Commenting on the FC Midtjylland video, Kerry said: “Been following their work on this – love it.”

Bet she’s glad Peter Lawwell hasn’t been selling off the car parks on the quiet! But that’s another story for the man from The Athletic…
Danish side @fcmidtjylland have turned their stadium into a drive-through so fans can still watch games on large screens! 👏 pic.twitter.com/6hD4rRxiNp
