Virgil Van Dijk and presenter reunite after infamous Celtic result

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk was interviewed by a former adversary after helping Arne Slot’s side to a win over Real Madrid. The English Champions beat the Spanish side thanks to a goal from Alexis MacAllister with VVD putting in a characteristic performance.

After the game, the Dutch defender was interviewed by Canal+ presenter Michal Zyro and it was revealed that they had faced each other in an infamous match.

Van Dijk struggled to remember the game but that is likely because he’s purged it from his memory after a late collapse in Warsaw saw Ronny Deila’s ten men Celtic return to Murrayfield trailing 4-1. Despite officially winning 3-0 on the return leg, Warsaw continue to claim that they won 2-0.

The ex-Legia winger scored and assisted in both legs but was helpless as Warsaw weee punished by UEFA after fielding an ineligible player. The appearance by Miroslav Radovic offered a lacklustre Celtic a reprieve but they did not capitalise and were beaten by Maribor in the Playoff round.
