Callum McGregor put Celtic ahead in the Boxing Day fixture after the Champions took advantage of a St Mirren error.
Ryan Christie played a neat pass before Odsonne Edouard squared his man and tried to lay off the oncoming McGregor. A meek pass should have been collected by the keeper but McGregor was able to lift it over defender and keeper before striking the post and McGregor was able to convert.
From a St Mirren point of view, it was a poor goal to concede but Celtic will be happy to capitalise and head towards 11 straight wins.
