BRENDAN RODGERS reckoned that his side put in a good performance in the 2-0 win over Hibs at Celtic Park last night, with the only criticism being some slack passing particularly in the first half.

Scott Bain made a slight error with his first pass of the game but the manager described the goalie’s performance as ‘outstanding’ and he also noted the once defensive error from Jozo Simunovic in the second half, while praising the defence for another clean sheet.

The bar is being set very high at Celtic in terms of expected standards.

Brendan also discusses the latest injury – this time to Emilio Izaguirre – and says the popular full-back has been lucky on this occasion to avoid a bad injury.
