‘We made hard work of it, we gave away a sloppy goal,’ A real Celtic manager, Neil Lennon

NEIL LENNON spoke to Celtic TV after the dramatic 2-1 win to Hearts that keeps Celtic 8 points clear of the Rangers at the top of the Premiership.

Lenny of course knows some of The Celtic players very well, others like Oli Burke, he was seeing for the first time. On the first goal Lenny noted that the three players leading the counter attack after a wonderful forward pass from young Ewan Henderson – Sinclair, Burke and Forrest – provide Celtic with a weapon he is keen to utilise further.

And of the Hearts gift of a goal, Lenny is clear that the thing to do is clear your lines. The tippy tappy stuff is not going to be a priority for the new management team, it seems.

Craig Levein admitted, rather amusingly, that he was actually counting his chickens deep into stoppage time when Scott Brown gathered the ball, Dedryck Boyata had been sent forward and he caused the diversion, the pass was perfect from the skipper and Odsonne Edouard provided the quality finish to send The Celtic fans crazy.

What a night it was! Here’s Lenny, a REAL Celtic manager…
